The Road Back to Music
In January of 1996, I packed up and moved to Nashville with a dream of making a life in country music. That May, Beth and I got married, and she moved down to Nashville with me. For the next four or five years, I spent my time learning the business, getting to know people, going out on the road, playing every chance I could, and honing my craft. Our daughter was born in 1997, and when our son came along a few years later, I realized just how much I was missing at home while I was out chasing that dream. So I came off the road and stayed closer to home, playing around Middle Tennessee when I could. In 2004, I made the decision to put music aside completely and focus on the most important job I would ever have—raising my family. For nearly 15 years, the stage lights were off, but the love of country music never went away. In 2018, I picked up where I left off and started playing again around Middle Tennessee. One show led to another, one door opened another, and that road has brought me to where I am today. I wouldn't trade those years raising my family for anything, and I wouldn't change the road that brought me back to music. Sometimes a dream doesn't die—it just waits until the time is right to come back around. And I have a feeling this story still has a few good chapters left to write.

Growing up in a small town in Illinois, Joel developed a love for country music at an early age. He started performing at just 15 years old, and at 29, he packed up and moved to Nashville to chase his dream. Since then, he has built a career rooted in grit, authenticity, and a deep respect for the songs and artists that defined a generation.
On stage, Joel and Eldorado deliver a powerful, crowd-pleasing show filled with the biggest hits of the ’90s — from George Strait and Alan Jackson to Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks, and more — along with original music that carries the same heart and storytelling tradition.
